Bunanyung Landscape Alliance — healthy landscapes, resilient communities
The Bunanyung Landscape Alliance is the community’s advocate for our environment. In partnership with our stakeholders, we assist in the development and implementation of shared, evidence-based, visionary landscape-scale projects that protect and enhance our natural environment. These projects will reflect the aspirations of our local member groups and our goal of engaging the broader community.
The Bunanyung Landscape covers (but isn’t exclusive to) the Woady Yaloak, Moorabool and Leigh River catchments within the Corangamite CMA region of Victoria. Significant parts of the landscape are peri-urban and agricultural and there are many Landcare and Conservation organisations working effectively in the landscape
The Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (formerly Victorian Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning) has provided funding for some of our flagship projects: creating thriving environments and communities.
The Natural Resources Conservation League of Victoria is a major funder and facilitator of BLA Inc. particularly through its Trust Fund.
The Alliance operates in the region of, and with the assistance of, the Corangamite Catchment Management Authority.
Yarrowee Leigh Catchment Group runs from north of Ballarat to just south of Inverleigh.
The Moorabool Landcare Network encompasses the Moorabool shire area.
Wombat Forestcare is all about enhancing this area of native flora and fauna at the top of six rivers.
